1974 Norton 850 Commando. Matching frame, engine & gearbox numbers.
Previous owner stripped it 20 years ago to rebuild/restore but never finished it due to ill health. He couldn’t make up his mind whether he wanted an Intersate, Roadster or Fastback so bought the different parts to see what he preferred. He fancied the Fastback look so fitted the rare early drum front brake, then found out the Fastback seat, tailpiece, side panels, don’t fit the 850 frame, so it’s back to being a Roadster. I’ve fitted new Boyer Branson electronic ignition, a new battery, fresh oils, petrol, balanced the carbs and it’s now ready for a new owner.
